Sign up, what an organization is, and how it maps to a store.

Organizations

When you register, you get a user account inside an organization. The organization is the tenant boundary — it owns the plan, billing, team members, and exactly one store. Almost everything you do is scoped to this org.

Team & roles

Invite teammates into the organization and assign roles. Permissions gate both the admin UI and the API: a request can only do what the calling user's role (or the API key's scopes) allows.

Plans

Each organization is on a plan that grants quotas (e.g. product counts, team seats, stores). Hitting a limit returns a clear error at the create chokepoint — see Plans & entitlements.
